DIY Makeup Remover Face or Cleaning all purpose wipes!!

I made these last night after running out of my usual Johnson’s face wipes. I love having those wipes because they completely cleanse your face… so was a bit hesitant on making my own but knew I had to one day if I was really committing to this – low tox – chemical free – way of living consciously.

So I gave it a go and love how they felt first time using them on my face. They removed all of my makeup – I even tested my skin after to make sure all was removed and my pores were nice and clean. Coming from having really bad acne prone skin when I was a teenager Ive really put a lot of love into my skin. So knowing that now, I can switch to a more natural way of using skin care products is something that really does make my heart sing

This took me less than 5 minutes to make. I only needed a few different resources to make them which makes my life a whole lot easier because I really have never been the type to want to make ‘beauty and skin care’ products, it just hasn’t been my thing. But it really was so simple. Now it is super convenient. Yes, ticks all my wellness boxes! ‘I’ve stored them in an air tight container and will see how he next 60 wipes go over the course of a couple months. If you want to give it a try I would love to know how they work for you, or even if you have any better ideas or other oils you use too!

DIY

Ingredients

2 tablespoons witch hazel ( I got mine from a chemist)

2 tablespoons fractionated coconut oil (I get mine from dŌTERRA – if you need some let me know)

1-2 drops Tea Tree or melaleuca Oil (from DŌTERRA = 100% pure CPTG – Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade)

6 tablespoons distilled water

1 hand paper towel roll

Steps

  1. Mix all the liquid together and stir.
  2. Cut with a sharp knife your paper towel roll completely in half so you have x2 rolls.
  3. Take the inner cardboard roll out of one and place in an air tight container.
  4. Pour liquid over top and in container and place lid on and shake.
  5. If you need more liquid, make another round and pour in. (I felt I had to do this so the inner areas got wet too.
